Adam Terry
Adam Terry is a young Actor who is fresh on the scene in New York City coming from West Virginia where he studied Theatre at Marshall University. To complete his BFA he attended The New York Film Academy in their New York City location and completed their Four Week Intensive-Acting For Film program.
Adam had a passion for Acting and being creative from a very early age and growing up would watch... movies repeatedly until he was able to do impressions of the characters or act out entire scenes by heart for friends and family. Before majoring in Theatre at Marshall University, Adam participated in various community theatre productions in the Charleston, West Virginia area (including Our Town & The Laramie Project among others) while also creating his own small projects with his friends.
While at Marshall University Adam worked onstage as well as backstage on various productions. Adam was part of a team that filmed scenes and created projections to accompany musical numbers in the production of "Hair!." Adam has also served as Assistant Director, Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manger, and in other capacities on various productions. His onstage work includes Tom Wingfield in the Tennessee Williams classic "The Glass Menagerie" and Konstantin "Kostya" Gavrilovich in Anton Chekhov's "The Seagull." He also took on projects outside Marshall including community theatre projects, independent films, and commercials. Adam also participated in fellow students Black box projects, The New Works Festival, and other main stage roles in "Charley's Aunt" and William Shakespeare's "The Merry Wives of Windsor."
After some time off Adam had professional headshots taken in New York City at the start of 2011 and has been auditioning and working on projects ever since. Earlier this year Adam appeared in NYC in the Off-Off-Broadway comedy “Something Outrageous." Afterwards Adam became part of a new comedy group known as The Jumpoff Comedy Troupe! Adam is a writer/performer for the comedy group among other things.The Jumpoff Comedy Troupe had a full house and a great response to their first live show July 8th, 2011 at The Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York City!! After following up with successful repeat performances of the first show at NYC's Manhattan Theatre Source, The Jumpoff is now working on an all new show!
In October he played Derek in the new play "Dark Light" with Jagged Night Theatre. Adam has finished filming many short film projects with students at NYU and is working on putting together a REEL.
